- Warns that conditions that undermine the power and effectiveness of the public school system in the United States need to be identified and rectified in order to retain and attract teachers. Data showing that teachers who leave the profession are either disillusioned beginners or are multi-year veterans; Issues such as pay, burnout and alienation; Top ranked reasons why teachers leave the profession including accountability, increased paperwork, and student attitudes.
