Abstract

The article discusses a study on effect of larval rearing temperature on content of the pheromone gland in Philanthus triangulum which contains information on developmental conditions of males. The results suggest that low larval rearing temperatures cause a reduction in the quantity of pheromone gland contents of adult males. These changes may reflect physiological constraints and competing processes for limited energetic resources during early development of Philanthus triangulum.
