Abstract
- The article reports on research which was conducted to compare a cell phone based physical activity diary with a paper physical activity diary and to examine the reliability and validity of the cell phone diary. Researchers evaluated the diaries with 25 men and 25 women between the ages of 45 and 65. They concluded that a cell phone-based physical activity diary is equivalent to a paper diary, is acceptable to users and is a relatively reliable and valid approach to self-reported physical activity.
