Abstract
- The article discusses the interiors of housing used during the Great Depression in the mining community of the Rabbithole Springs Mining District in Nevada from 1929 to the 1940s. The author suggests that archaeological investigation of the remains of the four housing buildings reveals information about the domestic life of the community's inhabitants. Specific topics include the methodology of historical archaeology, the uses of various domestic interior spaces in Rabbithole Springs, the economic conditions of the inhabitants, and the remote nature of the buildings.
