Risks to Young Volunteers in International Social Projects.

The article presents a study which examines the inadequate preventive medical advice given to young volunteers in international social projects prior to departure. The authors conclude that special advice for health and safety must be given to young people while abroad. They note that the advice should highlight age-specific risks and vaccination status should be improved for some regions and disease.
