Black Sea and Baltic Sea Regions: Conuences, inuences and crosscurrents in the modern and contemporary ages.

A report from a May 20-22, 2011 conference on the cultural history of the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions is offered. Topics of presentations included the coup of Bulgaria in 1934, cultural and social commemoration of the role played by Estonia in World War II, and Romanian foreign relations with Finland and Sweden during World War II.
