DIRECT FROM CDC. Evaluating Local and State Food and Water Safety Programs.

The article reports on the plans that the Environmental Health Specialists Network at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Center for Environmental Health has to conduct an evaluation of local and state food and water safety programs in the U.S. that will provide data on the impact that the programs have on public health. A discussion of a framework which the network created to guide the development of a tool which will be used in the evaluation is presented.
