Abstract
- The article reports that Albert "Jack" Stanley, a former executive of the construction company KBR Inc., a subsidiary of Halliburton, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for his conviction of bribing Nigerian public officers in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Stanley said that ambition, ego, and drinking of alcoholic beverages led him to commit the crimes. Stanley gave a guilty plea in 2009, and has been a cooperating witness for the U.S.
