Abstract: The article presents a study that examined both sequestrated nucleus pulposus (SNP) and the remaining nucleus pulposus (RNP) from the discs of the same patient. The study evaluated apoptosis using immunohistochemical staining. It compared apoptosis of the SNP and the RNP in the disc of the same patient.
