Abstract
- The article describes the case of how Loyola Marymount University implemented a decentralized budget. According to the author, Loyola Marymount University's budgeting process is a complicated, university-wide effort that aims to align the university's financial plan with the strategic academic plan. The author reports that the performance management system has provided transparency and produced a definitive measurement of the university's fiscal strength.
