Abstract

Epitaxial growth of SrRuO3/CoFe2O4/La2/3Sr1/3MnO3trilayerson SrTiO3(001) substrates has been successfully achievedusing pulsedlaser deposition. This trilayer configuration, which consists of twoconducting ferromagnetic oxides separated by a thin insulating ferritefilm, is a promising candidate for all-oxide magnetic tunnel junctions.Structural analyses carried out using transmission electron microscopyand X-ray diffraction demonstrate a remarkable continuation of thein-plane and out-plane crystallographic relations across the entirestructure. Magnetic measurements on SrRuO3/CoFe2O4/La2/3Sr1/3MnO3trilayersindicate independent magnetic switching in an external magnetic field,which is one of the prerequisites for large tunneling magnetoresistanceeffects.
