Abstract

The article discusses the importance of four-dimensional (4D) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) flow imaging in controlling transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) function. It describes the case of a 50-year-old woman with alcohol-induced Child-Pugh B liver cirrhosis. It suggests that 4D MRI allows complete volumetric coverage with access to the stent lumen in patients after covered TIPS stent graft implantation.
