The author discusses aspects of progressive activism in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. It examines activism to delay the proposed U.S. Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). The author also considers efforts to recall Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and to block the proposed Keystone oil pipeline. Public opinion concerning election spending is considered.
