Abstract
- The article discusses research on the planet Mercury, published in the journal "Science," which used data from the MESSENGER (Mercury Surface, Space Environment, Geochemistry, and Ranging) probe to study the surface of the planet. James Head of Brown University examines volcanic plains in the north polar region of the planet, while David Blewett of Johns Hopkins University discusses irregularly shaped depressions in impact craters.
