Macropodia Longirostris and Latreillia Elegans (Decapoda, Brachyura) Climbing on Mediterranean Pennatulidae (Anthozoa, Octocorallia): A Preliminary Note.

The article presents a fishing survey on the association of the crabs macropodia longirostris and latreillia elegans with Mediterranean pennatulidae. It states that the organisms were collected and observed in 2008 and 2009 from Ionian Sea. Result shows the climbing of the crabs with the leaves of their hosts Pteroeides spinosum and pennatula phosphorea. Furthermore, it states that the climbing of the crabs to their hosts could protect themselves because of their similar colors.
