Abstract: The author reminds farmers in Great Britain to celebrate Christmas as a season of good will despite the misfortune they suffered. He feels better with the drilling of autumn corn as well as with the planting of wheats and winter barleys as he works on the land despite less rain. He hopes for rainfall to come in January and Feberuary 2012 as farmers would be needing water for their farms. He also expresses optimism with good crop yields in 2012.
