Abstract

The article discusses the role of civic leadership and land use decisions in San Diego, California's economic development. It states that the city is the home of the U.S.' most robust technology clusters wherein the public's early regional land use decisions with venture investments and collaboration has fostered economic expansion. It mentions the organization called CONNECT which organizes events every year to ensure practices and collaboration are continuously reinforced in the region.
