Abstract: The article discusses how uncorrected astigmatism offers a significant untapped market for eye care practitioners. It has been stated that a global study found that 43% of spectacle-wearing and 38% of contact-lens wearing patients with astigmatism are not completely satisfied with the spectacles or contact lenses they wear. It has been stated that these patients who need toric contact lenses fitting for vision correction are like an asset for eye care professionals.
