Abstract

The article reports that 90 megawatts of agricultural solar power capacity has been installed in Great Britain with the rush to get large-scale solar projects completed ahead of the August 1, 2011 reduction in Feed-in Tariffs. The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) estimated Britain's solar-generating capacity at 122 megawatts as of June. South-west England reportedly has the greatest concentration of solar farms so far, with the East Midlands region managing a close second place.
