Abstract

The self-diffusion of Lennard Jones fluid confined in cylindrical nanotubes of different diameters has been studied by using model which is based on the microscopic consideration. A sharp decrease in the diffusion value near the walls of confined nanotube has been observed. It is found that for nanotubes of diameter as small as of the order of twenty times of particle size the dynamics of fluid is strongly effected even at the center of nanotube. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
