Abstract

A phenomenological model for double charged pion production is presented, aimed to extract N[sup *] electromagnetic form factors from measured observables (differential cross-sections, asymmetries). The preliminary results of CLAS data analysis on double charged pion production by virtual photons are discussed, focusing on high lying N[sup *] electromagnetic excitation and signals from possible "missing" baryon states.
