Abstract

Presents a study that estimated adult survival rates for adult female black brant using capture-recapture methods. Reason for the importance of the variation in adult survival rates on other life-history traits; Estimation of the annual survival for brant from the colonies; Evidence for a difference in survival between brant nesting on the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, Alaska and those nesting in the Arctic.
