Ethical Debate: Ethics of xeno-transplantation.

In this article, the authors reflect on the development in the field of xeno-transplantation and its related consequences to the human beings, animals and the society. The authors point out the transplant recipient's immunosuppressed state and say that this state of the recipient makes him more prone to zoonoses, infection and pathologic results. The authors also emphasize the need for post-operative monitoring under article 5 and 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights.
