Abstract
- The article discusses the history of Fenway Park baseball field in Boston, Massachusetts in the 1960s. The use of the field as the home field of the Boston (now New England) Patriots football team of the American Football League (AFL) from 1963-1968 is discussed. The 1967 season of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, in which it won the American League pennant and saw a dramatic increase in attendance, is considered. It is noted that the Red Sox have never had a lower paid attendance for a season than 1.4 million spectators since 1967.
