A caption is presented to a 1929 photograph of members of the Boston Red Sox baseball team in which several unidentified players, trainer Bits Bierhalter and pitcher Danny MacFayden are seen sitting by a stove located in the team's locker room at Fenway Park baseball field. It is noted that although the Red Sox finished in last place in the American League with a 58-96 record in that season, MacFayden was the team's best player, with an earned run average of 3.62, ninth best in the league, despite winning only 10 games while losing 18.
