Mentoring, it's a good thing.

In this article the author discusses the digital librarianship mentor program by the University of Iowa Libraries Digital Library Services (DLS) held in the fall of 2010. She describes the history of the program, which started in 2006 with a 1.1 million dollar Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program grant. She states that this was used to provide digital mentorship to students taking up Library and Information Science (LIS). She explains how the event was prepared, presents an outline of the program, reports how it went, and cites the changes planned for 2011.
