Abstract

The article focuses on the prevalence of in-hospital deaths that are multiple sclerosis (MS)-related in the U.S., as confirmed by research presented at the 25th Annual Meeting of Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers. According to the research, MS patients had the lowest unadjusted gross mortality rate compared to patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and patients in general hospitalized population (GHP). It mentions that septicemia/sepsis/shock comprised 30% of death in MS patients.
