President's Message: Data Discovery.

The article discusses the role that librarians can play in discovering data, preserving it and in helping to make it more accessible to consumers. A discussion of the ways in which librarians can use their skills to help consumers manage information overload and data deluge caused by the intersection of science and technology in a rapidly changing society is presented. In the article the author offers her opinions on data discovery and discusses conferences on data discovery and librarianship that she has attended or will attend.
