Self-care for Black and Minority Ethnic practitioners.

The article presents an overview of racism, a sense of isolation and anxieties that Black psychotherapists who work for predominantly white health care organizations may encounter in their work environments. A discussion of workplace initiatives and legislation in Great Britain which have been created to prevent workplace discrimination and increase workplace diversity is presented. Methods which black therapists can use to feel more comfortable in their work environments are discussed.
