Abstract

The article announces the investment plans of European firms Evonik Industries, Arkema and Badische Anilin und Soda Fabrik (BASF) in China's chemical production research and development (R&D). Evonik's plans include the building of an isophorone and isophorone diamine plant in Shanghai's Xinzhuang district while Arkema is set to build its R&D center in Changshu. BASF eyes the construction of a tert-butylamine plant in Nanjiing with an annual production capacity of 10,000 metric tons.
