Abstract
- The article discusses the outcomes and effectiveness of the low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) and chest radiography that was suggested to the heavy smokers for detection of lung cancer in the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST), a research study sponsored by the U.S. National Cancer Institute. It questions the reliability and authenticity of the methods adopted for diagnosis of cancer. It informs that NLST found that diagnosis of lung cancer at early stages might prove beneficial.
