An introduction is presented in which the editor discusses various reports within the issue on topics including the examination of the jurisprudential commitments underlying the Erie doctrine, difficulties of the rule interpretation and statutory in the Erie context, and relationship between concerns for federalism and procedural Erie doctrine.
