Abstract
- The article discusses the application of real-time sonoelastography (RTS) in a clinical setting for a few musculoskeletal disease. It explores the principles and developments of RTS which is an ultrasound-based technique that provides information on tissue elasticity and shows promising results and potentialities in normal and pathologic tissues in muscle and tendon disorder applications. It also cites the use of RTS as a research tool to derive novel diagnostic information for biomechanics.
