Abstract

Presents a study that used chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) measurements collected in the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara to calculate water exchange and CFC-11 removal rates in suboxic and anoxic waters. Determination of CFC-11 removal rate coefficients; Analysis of the mixing model based on CFC-12 inventories observed in the Black Sea; Examination of the one-layer box model of CFC in the Sea of Marmara.
