Abstract
- The OLYMPUS experiment at DESY, Hamburg, Germany will definitively determine the effect of two-photon exchange in elastic lepton-proton scattering by precisely measuring the ratio of positron-proton to electron-proton elastic unpolarized cross sections. In this paper, the physics motivation is summarized, aspects of the experimental setup are discussed and the current status and timeline of the project are reviewed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
