Abstract
- An interview with Dorcas Akeju, a retired midwife and chairperson of the FGM Clinical Group and Liverpool FGM Group, is presented. According to Akeju, she started her nursing career in 1969 and did her midwifery course in Nigeria from 1973 to 1974. She says that seeing people suffering inspired her to become a nurse. She mentions that accepting the Order of the British Empire was one of the highlights of her career.
