She mentions that Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) Union of Architects president Yuri Platonov hopes that relations between the U.S. and the USSR would bring architectural profession opportunities through cultural exchanges. She also notes the architects' opportunity to travel and study in the U.S. and the American architects would be welcome in the USSR.
