Abstract

The article focuses on the case of a 67-year-old man who was hospitalized after an acute onset chest pain. Medical imaging like echocardiography and contrast-enhanced computed tomographic angiography shows pericardial effusion, aneurismal dilation of the ascending aorta, and intimal tear that extends into anterior intramural hematoma. It says that a vascular prosthesis was used to replace the supracoronary scending aorta and aortic arch inferior wall and the patient recovers without disability.
