Abstract
- The author discusses the 2010 Institute of Medicine report "The Future of Nursing, LeadingChange, Advancing Health," which focuses on how nurses can help transform healthcare. She explores the recommendations for nurses highlighted in the report, which focus on the use of health information technology (IT). Also discussed is the 2011 National Strategy for Quality Improvement in Health Care issue by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius to comply with the Affordable Care Act.
