Abstract

Competition among aerospace industries firms for contracts related to the $18.5 billion appropriation for the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) it is required to spend on the design and construction of a manned space vehicle to replace the space shuttle program is examined, particularly the Orion vehicle under development by the aerospace company Lockheed Martin.
