Abstract
- The article discusses a National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) white paper "NCPDP Recommendations for Improved Prescription Container Labels for Medicines Containing Acetaminophen." The paper that names of active ingredients in prescription drugs should be spelt out and "APAP" be replaced with "acetaminophen" on drug labels. The article also mentions that the FDA has set January 14, 2014 as a deadline for companies to decrease acetaminophen content in dosage units of drugs.
