Criminalizing Circumcision.

The author opposes the initiatives which prohibits the circumcision of infants in the U.S., such as the one introduced in San Francisco, California. He notes that the such initiatives have antireligious meaning because infant circumcision has been part of Jewish historic tradition. Aside from being a religious practice, British and American health reformers found that circumcision prevents diseases and immorality which changed its negative link with Judaism.
