Abstract

The article presents a study which assesses barriers to HIV testing among patients diagnosed concurrently with HIV and AIDS and health care contacts history. The study surveyed HIV/AIDS patients who had participated in the partner notification program of the New York City Department, between January 2008 to December 2008. It is inferred that a lack of perception risk is the main reason for not testing HIV in diagnosed patients.
