Abstract
- The article presents an overview of both cosmetic and therapeutic contact lenses. Coloured contact lenses allow a patient to change the appearance of their eyes. Cosmetic lenses are divided into three main categories including enhancers, opaque tints and fun or crazy lenses. Ultra Violet-blocking lenses are used to reduce the levels of UV radiations reaching the retina and lens.
