ENSAYO DE Artemia: ÚTIL HERRAMIENTA DE TRABAJO PARA ECOTOXICÓLOGOS Y QUÍMICOS DE PRODUCTOS NATURALES.

This paper is aimed at divulging the fundamental notions related to the brine shrimp (Artemia spp.) bioassay among the researchers of our country. General biological characteristics of this organism, different experimental variants of the bioassay and their applications, as well as their advantages and disadvantages are summarized. Several examples about the advances achieved with the application of this bioassay are included promoting its use by ecolotoxicologists and specialists of natural products, mainly those concerned with the discovery and development of new natural pesticides.
