Abstract

An increasing observation by many social scientists is that the method through which European Americans maintain control over society's political, economic, and cultural institutions has mutated. Over the last 30 years or so, Eurocentric domination can be assumed to have mutated away from domination by repression/terror toward domination by seduction. This article discusses five sociopolitical trends through which this mutation has occurred and examines how this transformation has placed African Americans at significant risk of capitulating to Eurocentric domination.
