Abstract
- The article presents the results of a study on the characteristics of the resolution of sonographic B-lines used to assess the presence of extravascular lung water in hemodialysis patients. According to the authors, 34 out of 40 patients had remarkable reductions in the number of B-lines from predialysis to the midpoint scan and from predialysis to postdialysis. They mention the absence of link between subjective dyspnea scores and number of B-lines removed. They indicate the occurrence of B-line resolution in real time as fluid is removed from the body.
