Abstract
- The article presents advice for opticians on contact lens (CL) wear for children and teenagers. The article discusses how to determine the age at which a child or teen can be fitted with contact lenses, noting that factors affecting the patient, such as sports participation, are the biggest influence. It states that in addition to vision correction, children and teens can benefit from quality of life improvements and self-confidence. Deciding on lens type and parental involvement are discussed.
