- Demonstrates methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) biodegradation supported by diffusive oxygen release with sediments from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara, California. Degradation of MTBE within the aerobic treatment zone; Decline in MTBE concentration in the active microcosms; Capability of microbial populations to degrade MTBE.
