Abstract: The article examines the state of U.S. military-base schools as of June 2011. According to an investigation, many schools on military bases are falling apart, resulting in safety and health concerns. It is implied that these conditions greatly contradict standards that were put in place by the U.S. Defense Dependents Education Act of 1978. INSET: SCHOOL'S THAT DON'T MAKE THE GRADE.
